We turned the key on our new site today. I've written before about the issues I have with Wix and, with my subscription there expired, it was time to pull the plug. Our content is not yet fully migrated and that will take some time. I'm rather enjoying learning WordPress and Thrive Architect so please check back occasionally to see what's happening here.
It had been a while since I'd watched "The Last Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams" by the late Dr. Randy Pausch, but I got the opportunity, and the pleasure, earlier this week. It's always time well spent. I would encourage everyone to view it at least once and, even more importantly, have your children watch it as well.
Carnegie Mellon University runs a lecture series in which faculty is invited to give a presentation as though it was their "last lecture". On September 18, 2007, Dr. Pausch, a Computer Science Professor who had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer months earlier, in his own words "nailed the venue". He passed away on July 25, 2008.
