Network Solutions has now started charging a “reinstatement fee” if your domain name is registered with them and it is allowed to expire. This is on top of the outrageous fee they already charge for a domain.
A client got caught today. Cost to re-enable his domain was $37.99 renewal + $25.99 reinstatement = $63.98US for one year of service.
Do yourself a favour. If your domain is registered with Network Solutions, move it to a more reputable company today.

Carnegie Mellon University runs a lecture series in which faculty is invited to give a presentation as though it was their "last lecture". On September 18, 2007, Dr. Pausch, a Computer Science Professor who had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer months earlier, in his own words "nailed the venue". He passed away on July 25, 2008.
