Message Discovery

Google Message Discovery is an add-on to Google AppsTM Premier Edition that helps your organization manage email retention, providing you with up to 10 years of email history and a full array of search and recovery options.

  • Captures all inbound and outbound email and attachments for subscribed mailboxes
  • Creates a searchable full text index from the content of all messages including headers, body and supported attachment types
  • Stores all archived messages and their index on mirrored RAID protected disk storage in two geographically separate sites for a total of four copies of each message
  • Automatically deletes all messages at the end of the month after their retention or retention extension has expired
  • Offers a records hold capability that temporarily discontinues automatic message deletion
  • Allows designated individuals to seach the entire contents of the customer's email archive with password protected access
  • Includes a web-based search application that allows retrieval of any message in the archive based on date, sender, recipient, subject or content
  • Includes a browser-based message viewer that displays the text of retrieved messages and displays attachment links
  • Offers the ability to export all retrieved messages or a sub-set of retrieved messages in an industry standard mailbox format

"I know that we have it and that we can find it!"

"Our Nitix system had the ability to log a copy of every message into or out of our organization but there were several problems.  First, it kept a copy of all the spam.  Second, there was no mechanism available to find a given message or conversation when we needed to.  And, finally, the mail log was not tamper-proof.  Google Apps Premier Edition with Google Message Discovery has solved these issues.  Today, if a message was received by our system or sent through our system I am confident that we have a copy and that we can find it!"
